Tatsunoko VS Capcom for Wii!

Can I get an "Amen!!!" A solid beat 'em up is finally heading to Wii after 2 years!!

I always had a feeling that this game could end up on Wii. People shut me down completely when I said that Street Fighter IV could run on Wii and some are still skeptical about whether the little white piece of shit could run the game. But couldn't no one ever tell me that Wii could not run Tatsunoko VS Capcom. I bet if the Dreamcast was pushed it could run it. This led me to believe a Wii port was at least possible. But when it became evident Capcom had no plans to roll out a Wii port of Street Fighter IV alongside the Xbox, PS3 and PC versions and then announced Tatsunoko VS Capcom - my first thoughts were "Pity game for Wii owners missing out on Street Fighter IV". Turns out I thought right.

The Wii version will feature mini games, some new game modes and some new Wii exclusive characters. Capcom have promised to have the game running as close to the arcade version as possible where graphics are concerned. There's no reason this isn't possible - because Wii could totally run this game.

Capcom's pity is making for a much more extensive Wii library right now. Dead rising: Chop till you drop looks like garbage, but at least it's something and at least a third party is making some form of effort. God knows the others (*cough*KonamiNamcoSquareEnix*cough*) could do with following Capcom's example. They always seem to show love to the under dog. They gave love to the Saturn when it was failing in spectacular fashion. They gave love to the Dreamcast from day one and even when Sony had headshot Sega out of the console market. Now they show love to the chronically underpowered Wii.

Tatsunoko VS Capcom on Wii is good news. I just hope Capcom USA hustle and ensure this gets a western release, because licensing regarding the Tatsunoko franchise has been an issue from the start. I've also got my fingers crossed for online play. Even if it means we have to use the bastardized Friend codes, it's better than no online play at all. Let's all bow our heads and pray for a Western release with a host of new modes, characters and online play which doesn't suck balls. If this game doesn't get a western release, I will cop a Freeloader disc and import the bitch.
