Some of you may or may not have heard of Yatterman. He's the main character in Tatsunoko's anime of the same name. Many who aren't familiar with Tatsunoko but have kept an eye on Capcom's beat 'em up Tatsunoko VS Capcom may recognize him, as he stars in it. Well, a live action film is on it's way and we have a trailer!
I'm conflicted between finding this cool and thinking that it looks like something that I pushed out of my arsehole. Sho Sakurai looks pretty decent as Yatterman, but the special effects look cheesy and crap. It looks like a Saturday morning kids TV show, as opposed to a big budget live action film of a popular TV anime. I thought the production values for the film would've been higher, but I guess not. I may decide to check this film out when it finds it's way onto the bit torrent - just to see how it turns out. It'll be cool to see how Doronjo looks. She's being played by Kyoko Fukada and Kyoko's a pretty hot gal. I'm sure she'll look the business in the skimpy outfit, just as long as they don't tone it down.
