Lost planet 2 preserves the sexy, and pays a homage (or two)

Lost planet 2
Lost planet 2 is looking more and more like a game I may have to buy. I've been pretty frivolous with my money where my Xbox 360 has been concerned. Buying games I wouldn't do normally, and looking for any reason to pick up a new game for it. I know it needs to stop. Because as a result I've ended up with some duds. But I'll be damned if these new Lost Planet 2 trailers aren't looking gorgeous and making the game look like a day of release purchase. I'm such a graphics whore. A bit of bullet time, some overused motion blurring and some big explosions, and I'm on it!

As if giant enemies with orange glowy bits destroying shit with tentacles, troops laying smack downs in the snow and giant mecha's wasn't enough to woo gamers. Capcom chuck in a bit of Star Wars for good measure too.

Lost planet 2 just ripped off Star Wars, Return of the Jedi and The Phantom menace in the space of 4 minutes and 32 seconds. And there was even a lil' MGS action goin' on. But what a rip off!! The game is looking so good.

I'm a sucker for online co-op. Even to the point where I went out and bought Halo 3, Modern warfare 2 and Left 4 dead for it alone. Although I'm regretting the decisions now. (Ask me the last time I played any of those games). I can see myself falling for the bait with Lost planet 2. It does look a great deal better than the first game, and it's good to know it won't all be snow, snow and more snow. And that the adventure will span a more varied scope of terrain. But will the game play be any good. And will the co-op be fully realized?

  1. Online must've been a a huge selling point for you on the 360 since you don't like the games on it, lol. When's the last time you played those games?

All I know about Lost Planet 1 is that I played the multiplayer demo of the first one and hated it. I would imagine LP2 has to be better. It looks cool enough.
